Our Representatives and Committees

At the Students’ Association of Medicine Hat College, each representative is committed to actively participating in a variety of committees and boards. These committees are integral not only within the Students’ Association but also throughout Medicine Hat College and the wider community.

Open Committee Participation

We believe in inclusivity and transparency, which is why the committees of the Students’ Association are always open to members. This openness ensures that every student has the opportunity to contribute their voice and influence the decisions that shape their experience at the college.

Key Committees

  • Students’ Association Council (SAC): SAC meetings are a central part of our governance, involving all representatives in discussions and decisions that affect the entire student body.
  • Students’ Association Executive (SAE): This group focuses on the strategic direction of the association, ensuring that our actions align with our mission and values.
  • Finance Committee: Chaired by the President, this committee oversees the financial affairs of the association, ensuring transparency and accountability in our budgeting and expenditures.
  • Policy and Bylaw Committee: Chaired by the Vice President Internal, this committee is crucial for the review and development of policies and bylaws that govern our operations and activities.
  • Events Committee: Co-chaired by the Vice President External and Vice President Community, this committee is dynamic and vibrant, planning and executing events that engage and entertain our student community.
