The Council

The Student Council is the governing body of the Students’ Association of Medicine Hat College. During the summer, the Council consists of four members, and during the school year, it expands to six members, depending on the Full Load Equivalent (FLE) of students. This group of elected or appointed students plays a crucial role in making strategic plans and decisions for the Association.

Elections for Council Representative positions are held in September each year. The elected representatives serve from October to April. These representatives collaborate with the SA Executives to manage the Association’s assets and represent the SA on various committees throughout the year. There is a 2-hour minimum time commitment for the monthly Students’ Association Council (SAC) Meeting.
