*In order to opt out you MUST fill out the online waiver and upload acceptable coverage information prior to the deadline. We are not able to make exceptions if you miss the deadline so please make special note of the date (September 17). *You will receive confirmation emails alerting you to any status changes, as well as the final status of your request.

How to Access Your Benefits

*Please note students registered in September are covered as of September 1, but students who have additional coverage have until the 17th of September to opt out of the plan. Because of this, students will not have access to online benefits account until the end of September, after the opt out deadline.

During the last week of September, keep an eye on your student email – you’ll get an email from SAMHC stating that your benefits are active and ready to use with instructions on how to register an account for the first time.

5. Once your account is created and logged in, you can screenshot/print off your benefits card, submit claims, set up direct deposit, and view your plan information.
